OK…this is very simple!

Ma belle femme et moi avons achete un appartement dans le sud de la France,

…and there is so much fishing, not only there, but all the way down there, en route from Calais, and to the West also, that…well, Why Not?

There are 96 Departments, contained within 22 Administrative Regions in mainland France.

I have no idea how many trout streams there are, but I will, over time, find some, and fish as many as I can.

And ‘net’ as many Regions (that’s the easier bit), and Departments, as I can.

But…Who’s Counting?
